Having earned multiple awards for high-quality patient services, as well as consistent recognition for delivery integration and innovation, this Northern California Health System has recently undertaken a huge strategic push to improve its Behavioral Health and Therapy Services programs. The Executive Director will oversee clinical and administrative operations at over a dozen Outpatient and Inpatient locations throughout the city, and will have an opportunity to guide the development and delivery of these services.
Reporting to the Chief of Behavioral Health and Psychological Services, the Behavioral Health Services Executive Director will take program and operational leadership of this large, growing set of patient care services. Supported by Ambulatory and Outpatient Operations Managers at the facility-level, and by Psychologist, MFT, and LCSW Clinical Directors in charge of the various clinician teams, the Executive Director will have the opportunity to lead and excellent and experienced team.
In this role, critical to the mission, value, and vision of the hospital and health system, the Executive Director will take responsibility for administrative and clinical oversight of a large and diverse Behavioral Health Service Line that spans both Inpatient and Outpatient oversight.
- Outpatient Services now include individual, family, groups, and intensive Outpatient programs. Clinically, this program has begun to add a wider range of interventions and modalities, including Stress Management, Supportive Therapies, Crisis Intervention, CBT (Cognitive & Behavioral Therapies), Skills Training
- Inpatient Psychiatric Services now include individual, group, and intensive treatment programs generally based around stabilization, crisis prevention, and holistic treatment.
The Executive Behavioral Health Director will take on a large and complex role for this organization. This person will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction and delivery of services across San Francisco and beyond. This person will take oversight of a high-volume and full service program, will build an amazing team of Clinicians and Administrative personnel, and will spearhead service line development for the future.
Because of the intensive requirements of this position, the Executive Director will be required to have strong Clinical Behavioral Health experience as a CA Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Social Worker, Marriage Family Therapist (MFT), or high-level Registered Nurse. Additionally, this Executive leader will need to be intimately familiar with:
- Psychiatric Program Quality Improvement and Accessibility
- APA standards – client treatment, patient rights, confidentiality, ethics
- Working with social services agencies and within state regulations
