The ACNO  will be assisting the Chief Nursing Officer in the oversight of day-to-day operations, short and long range planning, strategic marketing and business plan, the development of new services and programs, fiscal management, and effective quality improvement and quality control processes.

The Assistant CNO will develop leadership, business management, and other skills necessary to advance to a CNO role in the organization. The ACNO will  participate in the development of new educational and research programs for expansion of nursing and patient care services. Under general direction, the Associate VP will be assigned direct hospital nursing activities in conjunction with defined hospital policies and objectives. 

The Associate Chief Nursing Executive (ACNE) will assist in the implementing innovative organizational structures and delivery models to support patient service excellence, in addition to building a efficient practice environment.  The Assistant Vice President of Nursing Services will be responsible for the provision of nursing services twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
