The Urgent Care Physician Assistant will join a respected healthcare organization known for providing comprehensive care services across the region. This clinic offers ongoing primary care, onsite diagnostic testing, children’s urgent care, and treatment for illnesses and injuries, creating a true full-spectrum care setting for the community. The Urgent Care Physician Assistant will work alongside experienced providers in a patient-centered environment that continues to expand access to quality healthcare throughout the Central Valley.

The Urgent Care Physician Assistant reports directly to clinic leadership and collaborates closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and medical assistants to support efficient patient flow and positive patient outcomes. The Urgent Care Physician Assistant will also partner with front office and care coordination teams to ensure continuity of care for patients transitioning between services and follow-up appointments.

The Urgent Care Physician Assistant will practice in a very busy urgent care setting that sees roughly 60 patients per day, creating an energetic and highly collaborative atmosphere. The Urgent Care Physician Assistant will care for patients of all ages while working with skilled clinical support staff and providers who value teamwork, flexibility, and strong communication. This environment offers a nice balance of fast-paced urgent care medicine while still allowing providers to build ongoing relationships with patients in the community.

The Urgent Care Physician Assistant will provide primary and urgent care services including physical assessments, diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses, laceration repair, suturing, wound care, and chronic disease support. The Urgent Care Physician Assistant will order and interpret diagnostic testing, prescribe medications, educate patients on treatment plans and healthy lifestyle choices, and document patient encounters within electronic health record systems including Athena, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks. The Urgent Care Physician Assistant will also participate in quality improvement initiatives, collaborate on care planning, and support operational excellence throughout the clinic.
