In the Core Lab and Transfusion Lab, a Laboratory Supervisor will collaborate seamlessly with anatomic pathology partners across histopathology, cytopathology, and surgical pathology, uniting morphologic insights with high-throughput chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, immunohematology, and blood bank workflows to serve a 200+ bed acute care not for profit hospital with state of the art diagnostic services and a wide range of complex inpatient and outpatient cases.
Reporting to the Laboratory Manager/Director of Pathology Services and partnering closely with the Medical Director of Pathology and Transfusion Medicine, the Technical Supervisor Core Lab and Medical Technologist Lead will guide daily operations, staffing and scheduling, competency and precepting, instrument validation and troubleshooting, quality control and proficiency testing, CAP/CLIA readiness, LIS optimization, inventory and vendor relations, and continuous improvement to sustain reliable turnaround times and transfusion safety alongside friendly nurses and a diverse, highly collaborative care team.
