The Perioperative Services department operates at a rapid pace, completing about 40 cases each day. Key service lines include busy endoscopy, total joint procedures, integrated cath lab services, and interventional radiology, with close collaboration across an advanced open-heart program and other general surgeries. In this setting, the Supervisor supports seamless daily operations, accurate surgical schedule execution, and exceptional same-day discharge and recovery experiences.

In this frontline leadership position, the Operating Room Nursing Supervisor reports to the Nurse Manager of Surgical Services and partners with a high-performing nursing team. Surgeons, anesthesia providers, technologists, and imaging specialists work together in a fast-moving procedural environment. The Supervisor provides hands-on mentorship and precepting, upholds clinical and service standards, and aligns team competencies to the evolving day-to-day case mix. Additional priorities include optimizing productivity and staffing, sustaining regulatory readiness, improving supply and instrument workflows, strengthening collaboration with surgeons and anesthesia, and nurturing a culture of safety, inclusion, and professional excellence.
