Within the Operating Room platform, the ASCRN Director will guide an ambulatory surgery center environment—an outpatient surgery center designed for same-day surgical excellence—supporting specialties such as orthopedics, ENT, general surgery, GI/endoscopy, and plastics; this day-surgery setting emphasizes efficient block management, safe patient flow from pre-op to PACU, and continuous improvement in turnover and on-time starts, all while reflecting the area’s scenic backdrop and a genuine community feel that energize caregivers and patients alike.
Reporting to an executive nursing leader such as the Chief Nursing Officer and partnering closely with the Medical Director of Surgery and Perioperative Services leadership, the Surgery Center Nurse Director will be supported by charge nurses, clinical educators, pre-op/PACU and OR leads, sterile processing, materials management, analytics, and talent development; responsibilities for the ASCRN Director include strategic planning, budgeting, staffing and scheduling, accreditation readiness, infection prevention, surgeon relations, preference-card optimization, supply chain stewardship, and performance improvement initiatives, all within a welcoming culture of friendly nurses and a diverse, interdisciplinary team that values inclusion, respect, and clinician wellbeing.
