ThisĀ 300+ bedĀ acute care hospital features 15+ Operating RoomsĀ supported by a high-performing Sterile Processing Manager and equipped with advanced surgical technologies including theĀ Da Vinci XI robotic surgical system for minimally invasive procedures. The robust surgical program spans cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery, spine surgery, orthopedic surgery, vascular and endovascular procedures, oncology surgery, and complex general surgery. Additional specialties include ENT, gynecologic, urologic, podiatric, maxillofacial, plastic and reconstructive surgery, as well as comprehensive pain management services. The Sterile Processing Department supports inpatient and outpatient procedures across these diverse specialties, ensuring strict compliance with AAMI, AORN, OSHA, FDA, and CDC standards. Advanced surgical suites and procedural areas create an engaging, high-acuity environment for sterile processing operations. š„
The Sterile Processing ManagerĀ reports directly to the Director of Perioperative ServicesĀ and provides 24/7 leadership for SPD operations. This SPD Leader will supervise department staff, coordinate technical training programs, oversee competency validation, and ensure adherence to infection prevention standards and regulatory requirements. Collaboration with friendly nurses, physicians, surgical technologists, Supply Chain, and a diverse interdisciplinary healthcare team is central to success in this role. Responsibilities include policy development, quality performance reporting, workflow optimization, and partnership in new instrument and equipment evaluation. The Sterile Processing Supervisor will serve as a strategic partner in advancing patient safety and operational excellence throughout perioperative services.
