The SPD Manager will support a high-acuity perioperative platform with multiple contemporary operating rooms and advanced procedure suites. Service lines span robotics, orthopedics, ENT, ophthalmology, general surgery, and GI/endoscopy—demanding exacting standards and consistent execution. Standardized sets, validated decontamination and sterilization processes, and dedicated endoscope reprocessing drive safe, efficient throughput. Ergonomic workstations and purpose-built reprocessing zones enhance quality, staff well-being, and survey readiness. Tight integration with scheduling and materials management supports case cart accuracy, point-of-use cleaning compliance, and on-time starts.

Reporting to the Director of Perioperative Services, the Sterile Processing Manager will collaborate closely with Infection Prevention, Quality, Supply Chain, and Perioperative Education to align goals and close performance gaps. They will oversee decontamination, assembly, sterilization, high-level disinfection, and flexible endoscope reprocessing in accordance with standards and manufacturer IFUs. The SPD Manager will partner with surgeons and anesthesia to refine preference cards and instrument configurations, while coordinating vendor and loaner assets for specialty needs. The SPD Manager will use KPIs to drive Lean improvements, reduce variation, and elevate service.
