Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT

Are you a Respiratory Therapist ready to elevate your expertise? Build your career under Montana’s Big Sky at a mission‑driven, nonprofit 25‑bed community hospital.

Join a close-knit care team where every clinician’s voice shapes practice and outcomes. This hospital has been recognized as the best in Montana for serving its patients and community. In this rural hospital, the CRT will care for patients across the continuum, from the ED to swing-bed, making a tangible difference each shift. The community roots foster trust, collaboration, and the kind of continuity that lets you see the impact of your expertise. The Respiratory Therapist will step into a role that values initiative, clinical curiosity, and compassionate communication.

The RRT will be supported by modern ventilators, a reliable EMR, and point‑of‑care testing that speeds decision-making. Strong telehealth consults and transfer partnerships ensure patients receive the right level of care while keeping you connected to specialty expertise. Regular mock codes, skills refreshers, and interdisciplinary drills reinforce a culture of safety and continuous learning. Evidence‑based protocols and thoughtful resource stewardship help the Respiratory Therapist consistently deliver high-quality care in a rural setting.

The RRT will collaborate daily with accessible leaders, engaged physicians, and supportive nurses across Emergency, Acute Care/Med‑Surg, Perioperative Services, Cardio‑Pulmonary, and Transitional Care. Core responsibilities include managing invasive and noninvasive ventilation, optimizing high‑flow oxygen therapy, and executing bronchodilator pathways. They will perform airway clearance techniques, obtain and analyze ABGs, and provide clear, empathetic education to patients and families. Participation in rapid response and code events will call on your calm, practiced judgment and teamwork. Throughout each encounter, the CRT will coordinate safe handoffs and discharge planning aligned with hospital policy and national respiratory care standards.
