An exciting opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join a collaborative surgical team in Oregon. This position is ideal for an experienced perioperative professional who enjoys working closely with surgeons while supporting safe and efficient procedures. 🏥

The Registered Nurse First Assistant will provide comprehensive nursing support throughout the surgical process. Duties include assessing patients, preparing individualized plans, assisting with procedures, administering medications, documenting in the EMR, and responding to changes in patient condition.

This position will also coordinate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to support patient needs before, during, and after surgery. The RNFA will provide education, assist with discharge planning, evaluate treatment outcomes, and participate in quality improvement activities.

Qualified candidates must graduate from an accredited nursing program and hold an active Oregon RN license. BLS certification is required at hire. Candidates must have at least 9 months of RN experience along with 1 year of circulating experience in an inpatient or ambulatory operating room. Completion of an accredited OR preceptorship program may also qualify. A BSN is preferred.

The position follows a Tuesday through Friday rotation and offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative surgical environment. This is a great fit for a perioperative nurse looking to build on their surgical expertise while working a consistent four-day schedule.
