Primary Care Practice Manager

The Primary Care Practice Manager leads daily clinic operations for a high-performing outpatient family and internal medicine practice, driving patient access, quality, and financial performance. Responsibilities include supervising front and back-office teams, managing provider templates and daily schedules, optimizing patient flow and room utilization, overseeing registration, insurance verification, referrals and prior authorizations, coordinating coding and charge capture with revenue cycle, managing claims and denials follow-up, monitoring KPIs (patient satisfaction, no-show rates, access, quality metrics), ensuring compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and NCQA/PCMH standards, maintaining policies, credentialing providers, and preparing for audits. Additional duties include EHR/EMR optimization and reporting, staff hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management, budgeting and expense control, vendor and supply management, call center and telehealth operations, service recovery and escalations, population health initiatives and gap-closure workflows, and continuous process improvement to deliver an exceptional patient experience and support sustainable practice growth.

What's Needed to Succeed:

  • Degree in health administration, business, or related field
  • Progressive knowledge of provider relations and office management
  • Prior leadership experience highly desirable
