Pharmacy Inventory Specialist

As a Hospital Pharmacy Materials Specialist, you'll ensure that the pharmacy is well-stocked with medications and supplies, playing a critical role in providing exceptional care to patients. You'll manage inventory, develop relationships with suppliers, and work closely with pharmacy staff to meet their needs. Some duties include:
- Inventory management maintaining accurate inventory records, monitor stock levels, and order medications and supplies to ensure that the pharmacy has an adequate supply on hand.
- Order processing
- Budget management
- Compliance ensuring that all purchases comply with relevant regulations and guidelines
- Collaboration with pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
- Product research to stay current with pharmaceutical trends and new products
The ideal Pharmacy Inventory Specialist will meet the following requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior acute care experience
- Active New Mexico Pharmacy Technician License or Intern License
- Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program (Preferred)
- Obtain Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ICPT) within 365 days of hire
