Perioperative Informatics Nurse Coordinator

This Surgical Services EPIC Nurse Supervisor will be responsible for partnering with clinical leadership and staff within the perioperative services division and Clinical Informatics Services to ensure continuous improvement of preference card and information integrity within the EPIC OpTime environment.

As an EPIC OpTime Superuser for the Perioperative and interventional services division at the medical center, the Perioperative Informatics Nurse Coordinator will provide support, analysis, information validation, and applicable training to a variety of stakeholders and leadership team members.

The Perioperative EPIC Informatics Coordinator will be working with and providing support to the Operating Room Charge Nurses in the ongoing creation and maintenance of preference cards. The Surgery Informatics Nurse will act as a clinical resource for EPIC and OpTime in the Perioperative services environment.

The EPIC Clinical Nurse Coordinator will train and support new Perioperative Charge RNs in the maintenance and setup of preference cards for the department and provide feedback to clinical leadership on issues regarding information integrity as it relates to their clinical environment/ team.

The Surgical Services Informatics Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for running reports, then reporting information routinely to various department leaders across the system. Submit requests and validates information for report building through Clarity, EPIC, and other systems. May be required to document clinical workflows and round within all Perioperative clinical areas on a routine basis.
