The Clinical Nurse Manager Perinatal Services will flourish in a culture known for patient safety, nursing excellence, and meaningful community impact. The high risk Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager will help oversee a high risk perinatal service with approximately 28 dedicated beds, including 12 labor rooms, 2 obstetric operating rooms, a 2 patient PACU, 2 triage bays, and a 14 bed private mom/baby unit. The Family Birth Center Nurse Manager works closely with a neighboring Level III NICU to ensure seamless care across the continuum. The unit averages approximately 150-200 births each month, receives complex antepartum transfers from throughout the region, and benefits from in-house OB hospitalist coverage, a designated OB anesthesiologist, Nurse Shift Managers, a Perinatal Safety Specialist, and a Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist.
The Perinatal Services RN Manager reports to the Director of Labor and Delivery and works within a friendly, diverse, and inclusive team of L&D and Mother Baby nurses, lactation consultants, neonatologists, OB hospitalists, anesthesiologists, and allied health professionals. The Perinatal Services Manager directs service line operations, staffing and mentoring, budget stewardship, and regulatory readiness while fostering a culture of excellence. This Perinatal Services Manager supports breastfeeding success initiatives, implements perinatal safety bundles, and improves throughput, capacity, and patient experience through data driven dashboards. Continuous quality improvement, interdisciplinary huddles, and shared governance flourish under the Perinatal Services Manager’s supportive leadership.
