Anchored by a 300+ bed nonprofit hospital, the RN Director Maternal Child Health guides operations for seven beautifully appointed birthing suites within an integrated LDRP model designed for couplet care and smooth transitions. The RN Director Mother Baby Services oversees mother-baby, postpartum, newborn nursery, and lactation services that embrace Baby-Friendly principles and personalized, family-centered pathways. Advanced fetal monitoring, wireless telemetry, and collaborative perinatal resources support safe, seamless experiences from triage to discharge. Staffing models emphasize acuity-based assignments, compassionate service, and measurable gains across perinatal quality bundles and maternal safety initiatives.

Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, the RN Director Maternal Fetal leads a friendly team of nurse leaders, lactation consultants, and a diverse interprofessional group of obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and allied health professionals. As the Director of Maternal Child Health, this RN leader holds 24/7 accountability for operations, staffing and scheduling, budgeting and materials management, throughput, patient experience, and regulatory compliance with State and Federal standards. They partner closely with physician leadership and serve as a liaison among administration, patients, and care teams while advancing shared governance and evidence-based practice. Core scope includes strategic planning, performance improvement, policy development, survey readiness, staff engagement, and succession planning supported by strong analytics and administrative resources.
