The Nurse Director Perioperative Services will lead a comprehensive Surgical Services platform that includes complex cases across multiple specialties and a continuously modernized perioperative environment. Reporting directly to the CNO, the RN Director Surgical Services will oversee a non-union perioperative team across the OR, Same Day Surgery, PACU, Endoscopy, Pre-Admission Testing, and Sterile Processing, with responsibility for strategy, quality, safety, throughput, budget, staffing, and regulatory readiness (DOH, The Joint Commission, AORN, ASPAN). The RN Director Surgical Services will be supported by skilled managers, charge RNs, educators, and analytics resources and will collaborate within a diverse, friendly, and highly engaged nursing and interprofessional team that values evidence-based practice, clinical mentorship, and frontline-driven process improvement. A master’s degree and at least five years of recent, consecutive perioperative leadership experience demonstrating competency in staffing, finance, and performance improvement is required; CNOR is preferred.
