Nurse Director of Emergency and Critical Care Services RN
An exciting leadership opportunity is available for an experienced nursing leader to oversee Emergency and Critical Care services at a community hospital in Southern California. The Director of ER / ICU will play a key role in supporting high-quality patient care while leading two critical hospital departments. 🏥
The Director of Emergency Services will have 24-hour accountability for department operations, patient care, staffing, and team performance. This leader will work closely with physicians, nursing leaders, and hospital administration to improve outcomes and support a strong patient experience. The role will provide an opportunity to make a direct impact on department performance while supporting a collaborative environment for both clinical teams and patients.
The ICU Director will also oversee performance improvement, regulatory compliance, staff development, and daily operations. This is a visible leadership role for someone who enjoys building strong teams and creating a positive clinical environment. The ideal leader will be comfortable balancing day-to-day operations with long-term goals. Strong communication and the ability to work across departments will be important in this role.
Qualified candidates should have a BSN and current California RN license. BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required. Candidates should also have at least 2 years of nursing leadership experience and 3+ years of acute care experience. CEN certification is preferred. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical knowledge along with experience leading teams in a fast-paced hospital setting.
