Nurse Director: Hospital Compliance
Harbor Regional Health invites an experienced Nurse Director of Hospital Compliance to shape quality, risk, and compliance across a recently renovated hospital with Level III Trauma capability and strong community backing. You will drive patient safety, regulatory readiness, and measurable outcomes while reporting to a senior leader such as the Chief Quality Officer or VP of Patient Safety. This is a full time role within the Department of Quality, Risk, and Compliance. In this role, you will oversee the Hospital Compliance Program and integrate quality, medical staff, and privacy work through a clear, interdisciplinary approach. You will strengthen accreditation readiness and survey preparation, refine policies, lead event reporting and root-cause analyses, and turn outcomes data into action, including support for stroke and trauma designations. Collaboration spans Infection Prevention, Case Management, Pharmacy, Medical Staff Services, and Legal/Risk while you lead Quality Managers, Accreditation Coordinators, and Risk Analysts. The environment features shared governance, practical decision support, optimized EHR workflows, staffing investments, and mentorship—plus tools such as advanced analytics (including AI), robotics, imaging, virtual nursing, and hospital-at-home pilots. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (business or health care administration preferred) or graduation from an accredited nursing or other medical training program; specific training in hospital corporate compliance; and CEN certification. Strong written and verbal communication, the ability to educate teams, and comfort working across all levels of the organization are essential, as is ensuring compliance with state, federal, DNV, and hospital standards.
