An opportunity to lead a busy Emergency Department now available at a 300+ bed short term acute care hospital in Southern California. This hospital is actively searching for a Nurse Director Emergency Department.

The ED Nurse Director will report to the Chief Nursing Officer and will be supported by two Nurse Managers ED. This medical center has been providing care to southern California for decades and houses one of the busier Emergency Rooms in the region. The Emergency Room Nurse Director will oversee a high functioning Emergency Department nursing team.

The new Emergency Services Nurse Director will be proud to work at a hospital that has been recognized as having exceptional quality in a broad range of services including: acute care rehabilitation, joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, outpatient therapy, hand and lymphedema clinics. 

The Director Emergency Services RN will be responsible for providing leadership for the cost center. This includes planning, organizing, staff development, performance management, quality fiscal and information management, regulatory compliance, building and enhancing relationships through customer relations, and appropriate professional involvement. The Director is accountable for the management of the cost centers within the established budget. The Director will work closely with medical directors, medical department chairs, physicians, and other disciplines to develop services and ensure quality.

The ideal Director Emergency Services RN will be BSN prepared, with their active CA nursing license. They will also need to have at least three years of experience working in the Emergency Department.
