The Director of Obstetrics (OB) will join a small, full-service community hospital recognized as the area’s most comprehensive health system. The Nurse Director of Women’s Services will lead a modern OB unit with 6 private, spacious birthing suites, each carefully designed with family-friendly amenities that encourage comfort and connection. Hotel-inspired touches foster a calm, supportive setting from admission through bonding. A dedicated, contemporary cesarean operating room with an adjoining recovery area enables seamless and safe surgical deliveries. Two strategically located nurses’ stations support efficient workflows, teamwork, and attentive oversight.
Reporting to the CNO, the Director RN OB collaborates with compassionate L&D nurses, lactation consultants, OB/GYNs, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, midwives, and ancillary teams that reflect the diversity of the community. This accomplished OB nurse leader will oversee daily operations across triage, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and the newborn nursery while maintaining an unwavering commitment to safety and service. The Obstetrics Nursing Director will guide performance improvement, perinatal quality indicators, regulatory and survey preparedness, and evidence-based standards. Additional duties include budgeting, staffing, mentoring, and shared governance to foster engagement, professional development, and retention. The Director of Women’s Services will also enhance physician alignment, care coordination, readiness drills, and technology enablement to improve flow and elevate outcomes.
