The Nurse Manager of Labor and Delivery will join a trusted community hospital that is investing in the continued growth of its women’s health services. Within this 150-bed acute care facility, the nurse leader will have a meaningful voice in clinical practice, quality improvement, staff development, and future program expansion. The Nurse Manager of Obstetrics will oversee comprehensive maternity care supported by a dedicated labor and delivery unit, certified nurse-midwives, lactation services, private labor and recovery rooms, OB care, C-section services, doula support, maternal-fetal medicine, and access to a Level III NICU for higher-risk pregnancies. The Mother Baby, Obstetrics, and Women’s Health programs are also preparing for a new consolidated labor-and-delivery and postpartum unit with private rooms and showers as part of the hospital’s expansion. 

The Mother Baby Nurse Manager will report to a senior nursing executive and receive support from hospital leadership, physicians, certified nurse-midwives, educators, and operational partners. Responsibilities will include staffing and scheduling, budget oversight, quality and safety initiatives, regulatory readiness, performance improvement, employee engagement, and the professional development of friendly nurses. Working alongside a diverse team of healthcare professionals, this leader will foster open communication, accountability, collaboration, and consistently excellent outcomes for mothers, newborns, and families.
