The Nurse Director Labor Delivery will lead a comprehensive Obstetrics program within a 340+ bed, independent, not-for-profit community hospital serving the Tri-State region. This dynamic Labor and Delivery, Mother Baby, Maternal Child Health, and Birthing Services program welcomes more than 1,000 newborns annually and features a dedicated two-nurse delivery ratio, 24/7 OB/GYN hospitalist coverage, a Level II nursery for specialized infant care, and comprehensive postpartum lactation support. These resources create an exceptional environment for delivering safe, family-centered obstetric and neonatal care across the full childbirth journey.

Reporting to a senior nursing executive, the Nurse Director Birthing Center will provide strategic, clinical, financial, and operational leadership for obstetric services while receiving support from experienced hospital leadership, medical staff, and ancillary departments. Responsibilities include quality and patient-safety initiatives, staffing and workforce development, regulatory readiness, budgeting, performance improvement, patient experience, and the advancement of evidence-based maternal-child care. The Nurse Director Obstetric Services will collaborate with friendly nurses, OB/GYN hospitalists, physicians, lactation professionals, neonatal clinicians, educators, and a diverse multidisciplinary healthcare team committed to respectful communication and excellent outcomes.
