The Labor and Delivery Staff Nurse practices within a dynamic Labor and Delivery and Women’s Services environment that integrates maternity, obstetrics, perinatal services, and newborn care into a seamless patient experience. Day to day, you will manage laboring patients across the continuum—from triage through postpartum stabilization—collaborating closely with OB providers, anesthesia, surgical teams, and neonatal clinicians. The Birthing Center emphasizes individualized birth plans within a safe, evidence-based framework, supported by modern maternity services and clear clinical pathways. Nurses are encouraged to lead bedside quality initiatives, participate in interdisciplinary case reviews, and contribute to workflow improvements that enhance both patient outcomes and operational efficiency.

This role reports to experienced nursing leadership committed to visibility and real-time support. The Labor and Delivery Staff Nurse works in partnership with charge nurses, unit leaders, physicians, and ancillary departments to maintain safe throughput, mentor newer team members, and uphold clinical standards.
