Within Radiation Oncology, the Hospital Radiation Therapy Physicist will practice alongside modern linear accelerators, 4D-CT, VMAT, IGRT, SRS/SBRT, and HDR capabilities at a hospital recognized as CMS 4-Star for quality performance, a Leapfrog “A” for patient safety, Joint Commission accredited, an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, a Commission on Cancer–accredited oncology program, and part of a stable nonprofit rural health system with strong community roots.

Reporting to the Director of Radiation Oncology and collaborating with the Chief Physicist and Radiation Oncologists, the Hospital Radiation Therapy Physicist will lead daily QA (TG-142), calibration (TG-51), commissioning, SRS/SBRT patient-specific QA, HDR verification, plan checks and chart reviews, image registration oversight, radiation safety support, and accreditation readiness. The Hospital Radiation Therapy Physicist is supported by friendly oncology nurses and a diverse team of therapists, dosimetrists, pharmacists, social workers, PT/OT, case managers, and palliative care experts devoted to seamless, evidence-based care.
