Reporting to the Radiation Oncology Manager/Chief Therapist and collaborating with Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, Dosimetrists, and oncology nurses, the Hospital Radiation Oncology Therapist delivers prescribed ionizing radiation with exactness, performs image-guided setups and simulations, educates patients and families, coordinates daily schedules, documents cumulative dose and elapsed treatment days, and upholds rigorous QA and safety alongside friendly staff and a diverse care team Qualifications for the Hospital Radiation Oncology Therapist include graduation from an accredited radiation therapy program, ARRT board certification or registry eligibility in Radiation Therapy, and preferably one year of experience.
