The Pharmacist in Charge will join a forward-thinking, award-winning regional medical center recognized for quality, safety, and patient satisfaction. As the Pharmacist in Charge, you’ll leverage advanced technologies like enterprise EHR with CPOE, barcode medication administration, clinical decision support, and IV workflow systems, all supported by modern USP 797/800-compliant sterile compounding environments. In the Emergency Department, the Pharmacist in Charge will help drive outcomes in a fast-paced setting within a hospital designated as a Stroke Center and Cardiac Center, with a strong orthopedics program. As the Pharmacist in Charge, you will optimize medication use in time-sensitive scenarios, reinforce stroke and ACS pathways, support trauma and orthopedic pain protocols, and enhance transitions of care to reduce readmissions, improve door-to-needle metrics, and elevate the patient experience in the ED.

Reporting to a Director of Pharmacy, the Pharmacist in Charge will lead a talented team of clinical pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and buyers while partnering closely with friendly nursing colleagues, physicians, advanced practice providers, and case managers from diverse backgrounds. As the Pharmacist in Charge, you’ll set the tone for pharmacy operations, clinical services, formulary stewardship, regulatory readiness (Board of Pharmacy, The Joint Commission, CMS), USP 797/800 compliance, inventory optimization, sterile compounding safety, quality dashboards, and staff development—including precepting and mentorship—in a collaborative environment where interprofessional respect is the norm.
