In the Cardiovascular Operating Room, the CVOR Nurse will join a cardiac OR team handling complex open-heart, vascular, and thoracic cases in hybrid-capable suites with advanced imaging and precision tools. Reporting to the Perioperative Services Manager with supportive collaboration from the Cardiac Surgery Service Line leadership, the CVOR Nurse will be backed by experienced charge nurses, dedicated educators, and clinical nurse specialists. As a CVOR Nurse, typical responsibilities include circulating and, when trained, scrubbing for cardiac and major vascular procedures, championing sterile technique, driving on-time starts and safe turnovers, coordinating handoffs to CVICU, participating in on-call rotations, contributing to evidence-based practice projects, and mentoring peers within a welcoming, team-first culture.
