Within the Respiratory Therapy unit—also known as Cardiopulmonary Therapy—an Inpatient Respiratory Therapist partners closely with intensivists, hospitalists, and a full RN staff to deliver comprehensive cardiopulmonary diagnostics and treatment; a Cardiopulmonary Therapist will support services across the hospital’s 25 beds, contribute to coordinated stroke center protocols, leverage new MRI technology for informed care pathways, and respond confidently alongside emergency colleagues where 24 hour OB coverage in the ED strengthens readiness and continuity of care.

Reporting to a Respiratory Therapy Manager within the Cardiopulmonary Services leadership team, the Inpatient Respiratory Therapist receives strong orientation, ongoing mentorship, and readily available physician and APP collaboration; a Licensed Respiratory Therapist can expect balanced assignments, evidence-based protocols, and autonomy within scope, while working shoulder to shoulder with friendly nurses, respiratory peers, pharmacists, rehabilitation therapists, and case managers who value diverse perspectives and seamless interdisciplinary workflows.
