Reporting to a Pharmacy Director with daily support from Clinical Pharmacy Managers, decentralized clinical pharmacists, and operations supervisors, the Inpatient Hospital Pharmacist will partner closely with friendly nurses and a diverse multidisciplinary team that includes physicians, respiratory therapy, case management, and social work. The Hospital Pharmacist’s responsibilities span order verification, kinetic dosing and monitoring, anticoagulation and antimicrobial stewardship, renal/hepatic adjustments, code response, TPN and pain management consults, therapeutic interchange, and direct rounding with specialty service lines. The Pharmacist will leverage streamlined workflows, pharmacy automation, barcode and smart pump technologies, clinical decision support, and a technician-forward model, with opportunities to precept PGY1/PGY2 residents and students, contribute to P&T and quality councils, and help lead evidence-based practice improvements as an Inpatient Pharmacy Specialist.
