This position serves as an important resource for onboarding, ongoing training, and professional growth throughout the department.
The Surgical Services RN Educator supports a busy Perioperative Services environment that includes surgical services and central sterile operations. The Surgical Services RN Educator will collaborate with experienced nurses, skilled surgical technologists, sterile processing professionals, and dedicated physician partners who are committed to delivering outstanding patient care. The Surgical Services RN Educator plans, coordinates, implements, and evaluates educational programs designed to strengthen clinical knowledge and professional competency throughout the department. The Surgical Services RN Educator oversees orientation programs, tracks competency completion for new hires, and supports annual skills validation processes. This role also coordinates education related to new equipment, assists with yearly education planning, and partners with leaders to identify opportunities for staff development and quality improvement.
