Within Obstetric Services, the Nurse Manager Maternal Child Health will guide a maternal–child health program that combines nationally recognized, 5-star maternity care with the compassionate, family-centered environment of a community hospital, supports 23 licensed maternity beds, and partners seamlessly with a level II NICU; the Nurse Manager Inpatient Obstetrics will help advance family-centered birth experiences, evidence-based labor support, couplet care, and coordinated perinatal services that reflect best practices in mother-baby care and newborn safety.

Reporting to a Director of Women’s and Children’s Services with dotted-line collaboration to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nurse Manager Inpatient Obstetrics will oversee labor and delivery, mother–baby, and perinatal support teams while aligning staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and throughput for consistent, safe operations; the Nurse Manager Labor Delivery will champion perinatal quality bundles, electronic fetal monitoring competency, obstetric emergency readiness and drills, infection prevention, regulatory compliance, and patient-experience excellence, supported by a unit-based educator, lactation services, perinatal safety resources, and analytics; surrounded by friendly nurses and a diverse interprofessional team—OB/GYNs, midwives, anesthesiology, neonatology, pediatrics, case management, social work, and interpreter services—the Nurse Manager Maternal Child Health will mentor charge nurses, lead shared governance councils, and drive continuous improvement across the maternal–newborn care continuum.
