Reporting to a Nurse Manager with daily support from a Charge RN and clinical educators, the Labor & Delivery RN (Nights) collaborates closely with obstetricians, certified nurse midwives, anesthesiology, neonatology, NICU, mother-baby, lactation, and case management. This L&D Nurse role encompasses triage, continuous electronic fetal monitoring, labor support, induction/augmentation, high-alert medication safety, OR circulating/scrub for cesarean birth, immediate recovery, and seamless handoffs, all within a friendly, highly diverse, and interdisciplinary nursing team. Qualifications for the Labor & Delivery RN (Nights) include a Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN), one year of acute care RN experience, current Virginia or Compact RN licensure, and BLS, with specialty requirements typical for the service.
