In this Ambulatory Surgery Center Nurse Director role, the ASC delivers efficient, ED-style Fast Track throughput with calm, predictable schedules across pre-op, OR, and PACU for complex same-day spine, pain management, and neurology cases within a State-of-the-art outpatient surgery center, AAAHC accredited and Medicare certified facility, while a Nurse Director ASC ensures ASC precision informed by ER/ED urgency without the chaos.

The Ambulatory Surgery Center Nurse Director reports to an ASC Administrator and is supported by charge nurses, educators, quality and infection prevention, sterile processing, scheduling, and materials; a Nurse Director ASC will supervise nursing and support teams, craft policies and procedures, drive QI/PI and risk management, oversee medical management, safety programs, and compliance, participate in hiring and governance, deliver clinical training and development, and manage daily staffing, anesthesia coverage, and schedules—qualifications include an active California RN, Associate’s required/BSN preferred, current BLS and ACLS, three or more years managing a freestanding ASC or surgery department, accreditation experience, and working knowledge of CMS, California state/federal laws, OSHA, HIPAA, and AAAHC, plus strong communication, writing, organization, analytical and decisive leadership, confidentiality, EHR proficiency, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting alongside friendly nurses and a diverse interprofessional team.
