Perioperative Services Nurse Manager

This highly recognized hospital on the central coast is seeking a Perioperative Services Nurse Manager for an exceptional opportunity to lead a dynamic perioperative team. This role is ideal for an experienced RN leader who is passionate about ensuring exceptional patient care in the operating room and PACU environment.

The Perioperative Services Nurse Manager will oversee a Community Medical Center recognized for its recent emergency and diagnostic renovations, as well as an expanded pediatric wellness center. The hospital is known for its commitment to patient safety and delivering high-value care. Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Perioperative Services Nurse Manager will supervise 15 FTEs and work closely with perioperative staff, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists. The manager will also collaborate with leadership across nursing and ancillary departments to ensure smooth operations, staff development, and quality improvement initiatives.

The Perioperative Services Nurse Manager will lead a professional and engaged perioperative team that operates three ORs and a PACU, running typically one surgical room at a time. The unit maintains a supportive, collegial energy where collaboration with skilled RNs, techs, and physicians is central to delivering high-quality patient care.

In this role, the Perioperative Services Nurse Manager is responsible for both clinical and administrative oversight. Clinically, this includes mentoring staff, maintaining competencies, and leading quality improvement projects. Administratively, the manager will oversee staffing, budgeting, operational workflow, and regulatory compliance, including preparation for the upcoming JCAHO CAH re-accreditation survey.
