The Hospital Laboratory Manager will report to the laboratory director and have responsibilities that include leading the histology, cytology, and Mohs laboratories while overseeing the Pathology Office Manager, Pathology Supervisor, and Chief Cytotechnologist. This role directs daily operations; ensures regulatory/accreditation readiness; drives quality control, performance improvement, safety, and customer service; manages staffing, training, competency, scheduling, and payroll; develops goals, budgets, and capital plans; monitors turnaround times; documents test implementation and staff training; optimizes LIS/instrument interfacing and workflows; maintains effective interdisciplinary and vendor communication; and provides supervisory coverage as needed. Candidates who secure quick interviews will have their NYS licenses (CLT, Cytotechnologist, Histotechnologist, or Pathologists’ Assistant) and over five years of relevant hospital experience. 🧪
