Ultrasound Radiology Technologist

Join a patient-centered imaging team performing high-quality diagnostic medical sonography, including abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, vascular, and Doppler studies, in a fast-paced hospital or outpatient setting. Daily responsibilities include verifying orders and patient identity, explaining exams, positioning patients, selecting appropriate protocols, optimizing images and measurements, documenting findings in PACS/EMR, collaborating with radiologists for timely interpretations, and assisting with ultrasound-guided procedures (biopsies, drainages, injections) using sterile technique. The Ultrasound Radiology Technologist ensures equipment performance and image quality through routine QC, maintains infection control and transducer disinfection, manages exam workflow and scheduling, supports peer education and student precepting as needed, and upholds HIPAA, safety, and accreditation standards. Requirements typically include ARDMS registry (AB/OB/GYN/RVT preferred), CPR/BLS certification, strong patient-care and communication skills, and flexibility for rotating shifts or call.

What's Needed to Succeed:

  • Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited program
  • Degree in diagnostic imaging or medical sonography
  • Prior working experience in an inpatient setting highly desirable
