Interim CRNA
Discover a high-autonomy Interim CRNA opportunity offering independent practice opportunity, flexible interim assignment, a broad mix of surgical cases, a supportive surgical team, modern operating rooms, and meaningful rural healthcare impact—a compelling next step for seasoned anesthesia professionals.
This role is ideal for a clinician who values professional respect, steady leadership, and a practice culture built around trust and responsiveness rather than red tape. The healthcare organization prioritizes clinician autonomy while ensuring you have the backing of accessible leaders, reliable staffing, and a collegial environment that helps new team members integrate quickly. You can expect a supportive onboarding, opportunities to refine your skills, and a workplace that respects your time and input—essentials for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist looking to make a difference without sacrificing work-life balance. 🩺
In the Anesthesia unit embedded within Surgical Services and the broader Perioperative Services setting, you’ll find a hands-on, patient-first practice that keeps your skills sharp. Day to day, the Interim CRNA manages the full continuum of care—from pre-op assessments and anesthetic planning to intraoperative management in the Operating Room (OR) and post-op handoffs—across a broad mix of surgical cases typical of a rural referral environment, such as general surgery, orthopedics, OB, endoscopy, ENT, and select outpatient procedures. The independent practice opportunity allows you to lead anesthetic decisions within established policies while collaborating closely with surgeons, proceduralists, and perioperative nursing. You’ll appreciate a supportive surgical team that communicates clearly, anticipates needs, and values your judgment, all within modern operating rooms designed for efficient, safe workflows. A flexible interim assignment means scheduling can be tailored to the contract—commonly a mix of weekdays with shared call and predictable turnover—so you can balance stability with the freedom to plan your next steps. Most importantly, your work delivers tangible rural healthcare impact: keeping patients close to home, reducing transfers, and elevating access to safe anesthesia care across the region.
Reporting is streamlined to leaders in Surgical Services and the Anesthesia Department, with ready access to decision-makers when you need rapid support. Primary responsibilities include preoperative optimization, airway management, general and regional techniques as credentialed, hemodynamic monitoring, and postoperative pain management, as well as clear documentation and participation in quality initiatives. Expect tight-knit interdisciplinary teamwork with surgeons, hospitalists, perioperative nursing, PACU, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and ancillary departments that respond quickly and respect the CRNA’s scope. The environment is professional and welcoming—direct, collaborative, and realistic about daily demands—so a Locum CRNA or Contract CRNA can step in and contribute immediately.
