An Inpatient Respiratory Therapist will find a mission-first, outcomes-focused environment where clinically excellent care, low infection rates, and high patient experience scores are central to daily practice; a Registered Respiratory Therapist can expect newsworthy momentum, innovative care models like telehealth and value-based programs, and a culture often recognized as a top workplace; and a Licensed Respiratory Therapist will benefit from high-acuity exposure, AI-assisted decision support, simulation labs, tuition assistance, certification pay, and shared-governance pathways that accelerate growth while keeping clinician wellbeing at the forefront.
Within the Respiratory Therapy service, an Inpatient Respiratory Therapist will support a full spectrum of care in an award-winning, high-tech facility ranked as a top medium-sized hospital in Georgia, specializing in comprehensive care with over 20 specialties; a Registered Respiratory Therapist will collaborate across the Respiratory Therapy department to cover critical care, step-down, the emergency department, and procedural areas; and a Licensed Respiratory Therapist will work alongside maternity and neonatal teams supported by a Level II NICU/Maternal Center, optimize perioperative care informed by a da Vinci Robotic Surgery System, contribute to a dynamic 16-bed ICU, and leverage advanced diagnostic technology that streamlines assessment-to-intervention.
Reporting to a Respiratory Therapy Manager with strong medical director alignment, an Inpatient Respiratory Therapist partners closely with intensivists, pulmonologists, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and hospitalists; a Registered Respiratory Therapist will perform ventilator management (invasive and noninvasive), high-flow nasal cannula, airway clearance, bronchodilator protocols, ABG sampling/analysis, rapid response and Code Blue participation, patient and family education, and EHR-driven care documentation; and an Acute Care Respiratory Therapist will be supported by friendly nurses and a diverse healthcare professional team that values interdisciplinary huddles, evidence-based protocols, and clinician-led quality improvement.
Life in Central Georgia offers an Inpatient Respiratory Therapist a rare blend of affordability, short commutes, and abundant recreation with lakes, rivers, state parks, and year-round sunshine; a Licensed Respiratory Therapist will enjoy vibrant community festivals, live music, and a growing culinary scene from classic Southern barbecue to farm-to-table dining; and a Registered Respiratory Therapist will appreciate strong K–12 options, nearby higher-education campuses, robust healthcare access, expanding job markets in aerospace, defense, agribusiness, and logistics, plus easy travel via regional airports and convenient drives to major hubs—along with safe neighborhoods, diverse housing from historic districts to new builds on spacious lots, reliable broadband, walkable downtowns, and an inclusive, close-knit social fabric that supports families, professionals, and retirees alike.
