Within the Pharmacy department, the Hospital Pharmacy Manager will collaborate across inpatient pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, outpatient pharmacy, and PGY1/PGY2 training environments to strengthen patient care and medication-use excellence. Providing exposure to complex patient populations, advanced therapies, and cutting-edge clinical practice. You’ll lead a highly skilled pharmacy team while partnering with physicians, nursing leaders, and multidisciplinary departments to drive medication safety, operational excellence, and patient outcomes. Reporting to a Director of Pharmacy Services with close partnership from a Chief Pharmacy Officer, the Hospital Pharmacy Manager will be supported by clinical coordinators, operations supervisors, informatics pharmacists, buyers, and seasoned technicians, while collaborating daily with friendly nurses and a diverse healthcare professional team across ICU, ED, oncology, perioperative, cardiology, and ambulatory sites. Responsibilities for the Manager of Pharmacy include end-to-end operations oversight (sterile compounding compliance with USP standards, decentralized clinical services, controlled substance stewardship), medication safety and formulary management, budget and productivity, quality and regulatory readiness, technician optimization and staffing, 340B program coordination, informatics and automation performance (carousels, IV workflow, BCMA, ADCs), as well as talent development through precepting, residency support, and building a high-reliability culture focused on measurable outcomes.
