Responsibilities as the Emergency Room Psychologist involve providing behavioral mental health diagnosis and assessment, treatment plans, and crisis intervention services for patients who present themselves with a large scope of mental health needs. The Emergency Room Psychologist will be expected to collaborate with physicians  and communicate with the allied health professional team in order to devise an ideal and individualized treatment plan for each patient.

Qualifications for the Clinical Emergency Room Psychologist include a current and active license to practice psychology in California State, a PhD, a PsyD, or a degree in Clinical Counseling is a major plus. Another preferred qualification includes experience in psychological evaluations, administering and devising psychological testing & assessments.
