The Emergency Room Nurse Manager will oversee a fast-paced emergency department serving patients with a broad range of urgent, complex, and potentially life-threatening conditions. This ED features specialized geriatric care within a 300-bed hospital setting that is focused on the core value of excellence. The ED Nurse Manager will help advance patient flow, clinical quality, staff engagement, regulatory readiness, emergency preparedness, and evidence-based standards while supporting timely, compassionate care across the emergency and trauma center environment.
Reporting to senior nursing leadership, the ER Nurse Manager will receive executive support and collaborate closely with emergency physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing supervisors, educators, quality leaders, case management, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, and ancillary departments. Responsibilities include daily emergency room operations, staffing, scheduling, budgeting, performance improvement, patient safety, employee development, and regulatory compliance.
