Director of Healthcare Compliance will join a community medical center with independent board governance, a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient services, and a strong reputation for patient-centered care and quality outcomes. Director of Healthcare Compliance will help sustain readiness for accreditation surveys and regulatory audits through a robust compliance program grounded in education and accountability. Director of Healthcare Compliance reports directly to the CEO and maintains appropriate access to the Board of Directors through established chain-of-command. Director of Healthcare Compliance partners closely with department leaders across Quality, Risk Management, Human Resources, Health Information Management, Coding and Billing, Revenue Cycle, Privacy/Security, and Legal Counsel. Director of Healthcare Compliance also chairs the Compliance Committee and provides unbiased, data-driven recommendations to senior leadership.

Director of Healthcare Compliance will lead an organization-wide, non-clinical program that engages multidisciplinary professionals dedicated to patient safety, privacy, reimbursement integrity, and operational excellence. Director of Healthcare Compliance will work in a supportive, highly professional environment that values education, mentorship, and proactive risk mitigation, collaborating daily with experienced clinicians, administrators, and technical experts to elevate compliance practices.

Director of Healthcare Compliance will develop, maintain, and revise policies and procedures to meet federal and state regulations, accreditation standards, and industry best practices (e.g., HIPAA, OIG guidance, CMS conditions of participation). Director of Healthcare Compliance will coordinate training and education for staff, monitor OIG and state reporting, oversee exclusion and sanction screening, conduct objective internal audits and investigations, recommend corrective actions, and foster a non-retaliatory speak-up culture. Director of Healthcare Compliance will report regularly to the CEO and Compliance Committee, chair quarterly committee meetings, maintain manual and automated audit processes, support billing and coding compliance and reimbursement audit readiness, and collaborate with Legal Counsel when potential violations of law are identified.
