Within the Hospital Pharmacy and broader Acute Care Pharmacy environment, a Registered Pharmacist will support fully integrated clinical and operational workflows—covering decentralized rounding, sterile compounding that meets the latest standards, smart IV workflow safety checks, and automated dispensing—serving a hospital recognized for its regional reach and advanced capabilities: a premier 269-bed regional referral center serving the Upper Cumberland, offering top-tier specialized care—including advanced robotics and orthopedic surgery—without the need for city tax dollars. A Clinical Pharmacist in this role reports to the Director of Pharmacy with day-to-day support from a Clinical Pharmacy Manager and lead pharmacists, collaborating closely with engaged physicians, friendly nurses, respiratory therapy, case management, and a diverse interprofessional team; responsibilities include prospective order verification, therapeutic drug monitoring and kinetics, antimicrobial stewardship participation, renal and hepatic dose adjustments, code response, TPN and anticoagulation management, transitions-of-care and medication reconciliation, med safety initiatives, and contributions to P&T, quality, and antimicrobial committees—all supported by experienced pharmacy technicians, medication safety/informatics resources, and a Just Culture approach that values frontline insight.
