The Labor & Delivery unit is a fast-paced, high-volume Maternity and Women’s Services environment serving a diverse patient population across the perinatal continuum. The Assistant L&D Nurse Manager will provide operational oversight for evening and night shifts, ensuring staffing optimization, patient flow efficiency, and clinical excellence across the Birthing Center. Collaboration with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiology, neonatology, and ancillary departments is constant and collegial. This leader will maintain visibility on the unit, coach frontline staff in real time, support quality initiatives, and drive patient safety outcomes while strengthening team engagement during off-shift hours. Reporting directly to the Nurse Manager of Labor and Delivery, this Assistant Women’s Services Manager will serve as a key operational partner and cultural anchor for the department.
