A Southern Oregon Medical Center is actively seeking a Wound Care Staff Nurse to joining their specialist Wound Care Center.
The Wound Care Nurse will report to the Nurse Manger Wound Care Center and will collaborate with a seasoned multidisciplinary team.
The Wound Care Center has been part of the Medical Center for over 40 years and provides the highest level of care to patients suffering from chronic wounds and traumatic injuries. The Wound Care Center treats a number of patients suffering from: Diabetic ulcers, Pressure ulcers, Ischemic ulcers, venous insufficiency, non-healing surgical wounds, Burns and Traumatic wounds. The Wound Care Center uses a diverse number of treatments: Debridement, Bioengineered tissue substitutes, compression and Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy.
The ideal candidate for the Wound Care Nurse will have experience working with Wound Care Patients, and experience with inpatient or ambulatory care. Though not required, a Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (WOCN) would be a plus for any candidate.
The Wound Care Staff Nurse will assess, plan, evaluate and document the nursing process in the Wound Care Center as needed. The Wound Care Nurse Staff will ensure patient support through infection control processes, sterility assurance, and product and instrument availability.
