The Wound Care RN will have extensive experience in the specialty of Wound Care Services and is an expert in evidence-based nursing practice. The acute care nurse will serve as a demonstrated leader, educator, researcher, consultant, and facilitator across the Wound Care spectrum. The Wound Care RN will collaborate with front-line nursing leaders to develop an annual education plan for specified units within the hospital. The Wound Care Nurse will identify patient and staff educational needs, facilitate the development of educational programs, and perform necessary evaluations to determine the effectiveness of educational initiatives

The Wound Care RN will have a large role in the growth and success of the hospital’s Wound Care Program as well as the brand new Wound Clinic and Hyperbaric Center.
