Reporting to the Director of Perioperative Services, the RN Manager of the Operating Room will be responsible for the day-to-day operations, and to a growing degree, the strategic direction of a full surgical service line. Reporting to you, will be a full complement of Perioperative Staff which included CNOR Registered Nurses to scrub and circulate, PreOP and CPAN certified Post Anesthesia RNs, Surgical Technologists, and other support staff. Directly supporting you in this oversight is an experience Registered Nurse Operating Room Supervisor and a PACU Charge Nurse.
The Surgical Services & Operating Room Nurse Manager will take responsiblity and oversight of a really fantastic perioperative services department. You'll oversee the planning and coordination for patient care, constantly evaluating the efficiency that the department can maintain. You'll also earn great experience in building and maintaining a budget for the whole surgical services department, supported by the Director of Nursing of course. Clinically, the Nurse Manager will serve as a subject matter expert for nursing performance improvement, skills development, and evidence-based practice education. The Nurse Manager will help guide, coach, and mentor the various perioperative staff to ensure that each member is consistently focused on superior patient care and outcomes.
