An award-winning, hospital is seeking a talented Nurse Educator to join the organization’s surgery team. The Nurse Educator and Coordinator will develop and deliver training programs within the OR and work with the Director of Surgery to continually improve on processes. Located in the Albuquerque metropolitan area, the hospital has been providing top-quality healthcare to the community for over 80 years.
The Surgical Nurse Educator will report to and work alongside the Clinical Director of Perioperative Services in a busy Surgical Department that consists of 12 state of the art operating rooms. Cases here range from general to neurosurgery, heart care to ophthalmology. The hospital is currently expanding their robotics surgery capabilities to perform prostate and gynecologic services and others in the future.
The Surgical Educator will also take on a Coordinator role to identify areas of improvement within the OR and develop action plans to address these issues. This is a fantastic opportunity for a surgical nurse leader to offer both clinical expertise as an educator as well as administrative leadership in the Performance Improvement Coordinator role, providing input in regards to policy setting and quality improvement initiatives.
