The Surgical ICU Charge Nurse will work for a forward thinking 500 plus bed tertiary referral hospital that is accredited by The Joint Commission. The facility was the first in the area to offer state-of-the-art-robotics-assisted-surgery and is the only state-accredited level II trauma center in the tri-county area. The facility has been recognized by the American Stroke Association with a gold seal of approval.
The Surgical ICU Charge Nurse will lead a team of dedicated nurses to care for post-surgery patients in the intensive care unit. The Surgical ICU Charge Nurse will report directly to the Nurse Manager of the unit and be responsible for managing, supervising, and assisting the nursing staff, as well as providing administrative support and direct patient care. The Surgical ICU Charge Nurse will write progress notes, participate in daily rounds, dictate discharge notes, and participate in hospital wide quality improvement initiatives.
