Reporting to the ACNO, the Nurse Director NICU Maternal Fetal will be well-supported by a RN Manager of NICU, RN Manager of High Risk Maternal Fetal, 6 Assistant Patient Care Managers, a NICU Clinical Nurse Specialist, and a NICU RN Educator, as well as a compassionate NICU nursing staff for a total of 225 FTEs. The Nurse impressive 92.1% nursing staff retention.
This nationally-ranked NICU is a top referral center for the region and Nurse Director NICU Maternal Fetal will oversee a 70+ bed NICU caring for 1,400+ of Colorado’s tiniest babies each year, including 300 requiring surgery. The Nurse Director NICU Maternal Fetal will also oversee a 12 LDRP suites and 3 dedicated Maternal Fetal Operating Rooms that saw 186 deliveries last year.
The Nurse Director NICU Maternal Fetal will collaborate with the NICU Clinical Nurse Specialist, NICU Educator, Maternal Fetal Clinical Nurse Specialist, Medical Director, Neonatologists, and clinical staff to manage, assess, and enhance patient care. The Nurse Director NICU Maternal Fetal will provide guidance on nursing practice, hiring and retention, budgeting and quality improvement.
The ideal Nurse Director NICU Maternal Fetal candidate has clinical experience in a high-acuity NICU, setting. Previous day-to-day management experience is a plus. The Nurse Director NICU Maternal Fetal will bring their clinical expertise to several long-term projects including service line business developmnet, patient safety, staff engagement, and patient/staff satisfaction.
